Going to the Country Faire Tour

YACOLT, WA | APRIL 2019

For those in the club that had not been to the Pomeroy Living History Farm in Yacolt, Washington, this was a real surprise. We met north of Vancouver and toured through the northeast Clark County countryside, past horse ranches, blueberry farms, and a few budding vineyards. The Pomeroy farm is amazing! There are a number of structures with volunteer artisans of days gone by, showing us how it was done 100 years ago. One demonstration showed how the made nails by hand on a forge. Farm animals were there for the children and big people to pet. And the field was full of vendors selling all kinds of vegetables and crafts. The surprise was the scale of it and the crowd that was forming...way out in Yacolt. We had a lunch stop at Nick’s Bar & Grill in Amboy, Washington, another surprise with quality food and great service for our Chevy crowd. Some of the club went on to visit a winery!
