Early Six Cylinders on the Backroads of California & Oregon. The 2018 Pacific Early Six Cylinder tour’s home-base was Alturas, California. In the extreme northern part of California, drive east and stop before you’re in Nevada. The four-day tour was in one of the more remote and beautiful parts of eastern California and Oregon.

Twenty-nine Chevrolets visited the Modoc County Historical Museum and downtown Lakeview, Oregon among other stops. The group had great meals served by some of the local folks, including the Alturas firefighters at the local Parish Hall. Columbia River Region Director, Dave Koetje and wife Lynn, brought their 1931 Chevrolet fire truck and found kids at several locations that got a special ride on a real antique firetruck. The VCCA members had a wonderful time enjoying the culture and scenery of this more remote part of the country.
